Scope of application
This page applies to the single account shared between the UCard Radar website and the UCard Radar mobile app. The deletion process and scope are the same regardless of whether the account was registered by email or created via Apple or Google sign-in. Information held by third-party card issuers, card networks, wallets, exchanges, or app stores in their own systems is outside the scope of this page and must be handled by users according to those parties' policies.
Three ways to initiate
Any one method is sufficient. All three delete the same account with the same effect. Initiating a request does not require reinstalling the app or contacting customer service for approval.
In the mobile app
Open the app, go to "Settings → Account & Security → Delete Account", and confirm to submit the deletion request. This is a direct in-app entry point, not a redirect to customer service.
On the website
After logging in with the account to be deleted, go to the account security section in account settings to submit the deletion request.
By email
If you can no longer log in, send an email from the account's registered email address to support@ucardradar.com with the subject line "Delete Account". We will first verify that the request comes from the account holder before proceeding with deletion.
What data deletion covers
Deletion means the account and its associated data are removed or anonymised, not deactivated, frozen, or hidden.
- Account and authentication information: email, display name, password hash, verification status, third-party login bindings
- Session and device records: all login sessions, logged-in device list, mobile app installation registration, and push tokens
- Preferences and functional data: language and notification preferences, favourites and follows, risk alerts, keyword monitoring, comparison selections
- Community content: user-submitted comments and their revision history, and personally identifiable portions of user-submitted reports and appeals
- Feedback and evidence: user-submitted feedback content and uploaded evidence files
- Contact records: personally identifiable portions of support correspondence associated with the account
Which records continue to be retained, and why
The following records are not removed upon account deletion. Retention is limited to what is necessary for the stated purpose and is deleted or anonymised when no longer required.
- Transaction and billing records: retained to fulfil statutory obligations for tax, accounting, and payment dispute handling, with retention periods determined by applicable law.
- Publicly available and de-identified feedback summaries and statistical results: these do not contain personally identifiable information and have already entered historical risk records and statistical baselines.
- Security and abuse protection records: necessary logs retained for investigating fraud, abuse, and security incidents, typically stored in hashed or other de-identified form.
- Moderation and penalty records: records retained as necessary to ensure consistent enforcement of community rules. If a penalty is still active when an account is deleted, the registered email address and irreversible hashes of the Apple and Google login identities are retained in addition, solely so that accounts re-registered with the same email address or the same Apple or Google account remain subject to that penalty; once the penalty is lifted or expires, these hashes are deleted.
- Legal claims and compliance records: retained in the scope and for the duration required by applicable law when disputes, investigations, or binding legal requests exist.
Subscriptions must be cancelled separately
If the user has an active Pro or Business subscription in the App Store or Google Play, deleting the UCard Radar account will not cancel that subscription or prevent the store from continuing to charge. Auto-renewal can only be cancelled in the subscription management of the respective store. Please complete cancellation before submitting the deletion request, or charges may continue even though the account no longer exists. Subscriptions purchased through the website are handled according to the refund policy.
Processing time
- Account content and access permissions are revoked immediately after the request is verified, and the user will no longer be able to log in.
- Deletion of associated data in production systems is typically completed within 30 days.
- Backup and disaster recovery copies are overwritten according to the existing rotation schedule, usually within 90 days.
- The retention exceptions listed in the previous section continue to be stored for their respective purposes and periods.
Identity verification
To prevent accidental deletion and requests made under another person's identity, we may require information sufficient to verify the identity and authority of the requester, in order to locate the relevant account and records. Verification is used solely for processing this request and for no other purpose. Please do not include private keys, seed phrases, full card numbers, CVV, or complete images of identity documents in your request.
Contact and complaints
If a deletion request is not handled properly, or if you have questions about how it was handled, you can contact us through the following channels; where permitted by applicable law, you may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection or other supervisory authority.
