Card overview
Fold Prepaid Debit Card uses a pre-funded USD balance and does not deduct funds directly from a conventional checking or savings account. Users can add funds through ACH, payroll Direct Deposit, an external bank transfer, or an instant debit card top-up. They can also sell BTC held in Fold for USD and add the proceeds to the card balance. Initial applications currently result in a physical card being mailed directly, and a standard virtual card is not issued at the same time. Temporary virtual cards are primarily provided to existing users awaiting replacement physical cards and are valid for two months. Free Fold membership mainly provides basic account and card functions, while Fold+ charges a monthly or annual fee in exchange for BTC spending rewards, Card Boost, ATM fee reductions, and international transaction fee reductions.

1. United States：Can apply，Can use，Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, primarily reside in one of the 50 states or Washington, D.C., and have a valid U.S. Social Security number.
2. United Kingdom：Cannot apply，Can use，Fold requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and primary U.S. residence for card issuance, but the UK is not on Fold’s restricted card-use country list.
3. Canada：Cannot apply，Can use，Canadian residents are outside Fold’s U.S.-resident issuance requirements, but Canada is not listed among the countries where Fold Card transactions are prohibited.
4. Australia：Cannot apply，Can use，Australian residents cannot meet Fold’s U.S. residency requirement for issuance, while Australia remains available for use by legally issued cardholders.
5. South Africa：Cannot apply，Cannot use，South African residents are outside Fold’s U.S.-only issuance requirements and South Africa is explicitly listed among the countries where Fold Card use is restricted.
6. New Zealand：Cannot apply，Can use，New Zealand residents cannot obtain the card because Fold requires primary U.S. residence, but New Zealand is not on the card’s restricted-use country list.
7. Ireland：Cannot apply，Can use，Irish residents are ineligible for issuance under Fold’s U.S. citizenship or permanent-residency rules, but an eligible existing card can be used in Ireland.

Spent 250$ on a card for them to not verify my identity what am I suppose to do. It should be a fine print saying you could possibly not be able to be verified. I’m just going to stick to using bitcoin on Cash App!!!!

Was once amazing, but they steadily cut rewards and probability on their spin wheel. The last [documented] time someone won 1 BTC on the spin wheel was back in 2021. Debit card rewards aren't really worth the time/effort, but their new credit card rewards are OK at 1.5%. Would be nice to be able to earn rewards in BCH (the Bitcoin that actually works as A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System).
