Backpack Card is a planned crypto payment product from Backpack Exchange that is expected to connect with the Backpack unified account, digital assets and BP participant programme. It is currently listed officially only as an upcoming benefit, with BP holders able to gain priority access by staking. The product is not yet open for formal applications or payment use, and its card network, card form, source of spending funds and specific settlement model have not yet been included in public product rules.

The platform integrates a popular self-custody wallet, high-concurrency crypto spot and derivatives trading systems, and acquired FTX's European subsidiary in 2024. Backpack adopts a "compliance-first" strategy and has achieved a rare "triple license" regulatory breakthrough in the EU (simultaneously holding a MiFID II investment firm license from Cyprus's CySEC, a MiCA crypto asset service provider license from the Bank of Latvia, and a PSD2 payment institution license), fully covering crypto, securities brokerage, and fiat/stablecoin payment collection and disbursement.

Card overview
Backpack is a financial platform combining crypto trading, a self-custody wallet, lending, yield, and securities services. Backpack Card is included in the platform's future payment product range and is linked to the Backpack Participant Program. By staking BP, users can receive benefits such as priority access to new products based on their staking tier and holding period. Current active benefits mainly include trading-fee discounts, fiat deposit and withdrawal concessions, and access to certain platform features, while Backpack Card remains listed as coming soon. No official card application channel, issuing countries, virtual or physical format, card network, payment assets, spending-conversion method, or payment rules such as Apple Pay support have been published. It therefore cannot currently be used as an issued crypto card.

i am sitting here stuck in a huge traffic jam on the highway, cars completely stopped, and i am losing it because Backpack completely rug pulled me. This is a total rug pull, my funds are locked, and they're denying my withdrawals for absolutely no reason. i tried to transfer my solana out to my cold wallet and it just stays pending forever. i am totally rekt, my portfolio is down, and their support is non-existent. They have zero security and zero customer service, just stealing people's hard-earned money. i thought this was the new alpha but it's just a scam. If u have assets on there u're ngmi. i was desperate and didn't know what to do because they took my life savings, but then i had to hire Guerrilla Chargeback to get my funds back. That service is the only way to recover anything from these thieves because the official channels are a joke. Backpack is running a fractional reserve or something because why else would they block transactions? Don't trust their platform, it's a complete fraud and they'll lock your account the moment u try to take out any real volume. i am so angry right now, sweating in this car, watching my balance disappear into their pockets. If it wasn't for Guerrilla Chargeback i would have lost everything. They're scammers who don't care about users.

Ordinary users either gamble heavily on BP tokens or act as “referral brokers” to get card invites, and neither path is appealing. Using an exchange directly, like OKX, is far better, and the card still requires an e‑card. I’m already planning to close and uninstall my BP account.

Opening an account was very hard, submitted all that was required and the validation never came through. Never got to use it and decided to request the deletion of all data related to the process. I don't think I'll come back any time soon.

I'm blind and I'm using a screen reader, it's been months now the app is no longer accessible with screen readers. all I can hear is possible or touchable. the only thing accessible, is the tabs at the bottom. I can't trade anymore. it's been months now since my first review the issue is still there. I get in touch with the team but unfortunately no issue has been solved this is rubbish exchange and wallet.

The app's functionality is good, but the UI feels outdated. Focus only on improving the user interface by giving it a more modern, clean, and aesthetically pleasing design. Refresh the overall look, improve spacing, typography, colors, icons, and redesign the sidebar and wallet section to provide a polished, modern user experience. No functional changes are needed—only UI improvements.

I am using squads multi signed wallet and have had a problem recently when linking up with the backpack wallet. The connection was lost and locked me out a sec later. please fix the bugs
