It is currently listed officially only as an upcoming benefit, with BP holders able to gain priority access by staking. Founded in 2022 (by former core Solana ecosystem developers), Backpack is a leading Web3 financial infrastructure and cryptocurrency trading platform. The platform integrates a popular self-custody wallet, high-concurrency crypto spot and derivatives trading systems, and acquired FTX's European subsidiary in 2024. Backpack adopts a "compliance-first" strategy and has achieved a rare "triple license" regulatory breakthrough in the EU (simultaneously holding a MiFID II investment firm license from Cyprus's CySEC, a MiCA crypto asset service provider license from the Bank of Latvia, and a PSD2 payment institution license), fully covering crypto, securities brokerage, and fiat/stablecoin payment collection and disbursement.

Card overview
Backpack is a financial platform combining crypto trading, a self-custody wallet, lending, yield, and securities services. Backpack Card is included in the platform's future payment product range and is linked to the Backpack Participant Program. By staking BP, users can receive benefits such as priority access to new products based on their staking tier and holding period. Current active benefits mainly include trading-fee discounts, fiat deposit and withdrawal concessions, and access to certain platform features, while Backpack Card remains listed as coming soon. No official card application channel, issuing countries, virtual or physical format, card network, payment assets, spending-conversion method, or payment rules such as Apple Pay support have been published. It therefore cannot currently be used as an issued crypto card.

1. United States：Cannot apply，Can use，Backpack Card remains in closed beta with no public U.S. application program or country eligibility published; invited beta cardholders who have already been issued a card can use it for permitted transactions in the United States.
2. United Kingdom：Cannot apply，Can use，UK residents do not currently have a public application route because Backpack Card is limited to selected beta participants, while an already issued beta card can be used in the UK.
3. Canada：Cannot apply，Can use，Backpack has not opened the card publicly to Canadian residents and has not published Canada-specific issuance eligibility, but invited users who already hold the beta card can use it in Canada.
4. Australia：Cannot apply，Can use，Despite the beta card being issued through an Australian card partner, Backpack has not opened public applications to Australian residents; already issued beta cards can be used locally.
5. South Africa：Cannot apply，Can use，South African residents currently have no public route to obtain the card because access remains restricted to selected beta users, while an eligible beta card already issued can be used in South Africa.
6. New Zealand：Cannot apply，Can use，Backpack Card is not yet publicly available to New Zealand residents and country-level issuance rules have not been released, but already issued beta cards can be used in New Zealand.
7. Ireland：Cannot apply，Can use，Irish residents cannot currently apply through a public card program because Backpack Card remains in closed beta, while an eligible beta card already issued can be used in Ireland.

View original I really like Backpack’s clean and intuitive UI/UX. The app feels smooth and user-friendly. One feature I’d love to see added to the wallet section is an Address Book to save frequently used wallet addresses for quick and convenient access. This would make sending crypto much easier and reduce the risk of entering incorrect addresses. Hope to see this feature in a future update!
