Gate Card is a digital asset payment card product offered by Gate. It includes a Gate Pay-linked card for international users and the Gate US Visa Debit Card for residents of certain US states. Users can choose between instant spending and prepaid balance modes, with designated digital assets converted into the settlement currency when a purchase is made. Transactions such as online shopping, in-store card payments and subscription payments can be completed with a virtual card, physical card or mobile wallet. Eligible international cardholders can also use the physical card to withdraw cash at Visa ATMs and receive points cashback based on their card level.

Card overview

The international Gate Card is connected to a Gate Pay payment account. In instant spending mode, users can select the payment asset from Gate Pay, a spot account, Simple Earn, or other accounts. In prepaid mode, digital assets are first converted into the corresponding fiat balance and then spent from the card balance. The current international range includes Gate Card (Classic & Platinum Card), Gate Card (Standard Card), and Gate Card (Signature Card). All offer virtual and physical cards and are accepted primarily through the Visa network, with different foreign exchange fees, ATM fees, and spending limits across versions. The US Gate US Visa Debit Card is issued by Lead Bank, with Bridge Ventures LLC managing the card programme and Gate US providing the application and account management interface. This version uses USD or supported digital assets as its payment funding source, selling digital assets at the time of the transaction and settling in USD. The US terms state that it is a prepaid debit card with no overdraft or credit facility and that ATM withdrawals are prohibited.
