Card overview

Lava Card is a secured credit card, rather than a traditional unsecured credit card or a debit card that directly deducts crypto assets. Spending is completed through a credit line created from the user's available USD balance. Users can deposit stablecoins such as USDC and USDT to create a unified USD balance, or obtain USD through bank transfers or by using Bitcoin as collateral via Lava's BLOC. International card accounts are backed by collateral assets, and spending limits are dynamically linked to collateral value and account risk controls. The card supports Visa payments online, on mobile, and at physical merchants. Official terms also cover both physical and virtual Lava Cards. Since July 2026, Lava has expanded stablecoin deposits to USDC, USDT, and PYUSD across ten blockchain networks.

Low fees, easy payments, and great features

I've been using the Lava card for a while now, and I'm really happy with it. The app is easy to use, payments go through smoothly, and the fees are lower than with any other crypto card I've tried. I also like that there are no extra charges for international payments, which is a big plus for me. In my opinion, it's better value than the other crypto cards I know. I also noticed that Lava offers crypto-backed loans and the ability to earn yield on your assets. I haven't tried those features yet, but it's great to have them available in one app. Overall, it's the best crypto card I've used so far. Highly recommended!

The good: - send transaction gas fee abstraction (no gas, I think) - modify your card spend limit - seems straightforward The bad: - Card cash back is locked until you accrue a very very very high minimum ≥ 100,000 sats (one hundred thousand). That has to go to 1 sat if they intend to survive against the competition - Unproved company with checkered communication past - Super annoying minimums to yield (≥ $60), to send (≥ $20), no way to send out a specific sat amount - Associated with investors I do not support or agree with

I had a problem that was my fault and lost some funds. It was resolved in no time, efficiently, in a polite manner. Refreshing when I compare it to the poor service I've recently received from a big name bank. My interest payments and cash backs have all been credited quickly. Really impressed.
