This product is a local payment feature within Luno’s account ecosystem, currently serving the South African market. User funds remain in Luno custodial wallets rather than being pre-loaded onto a separate card account; to make a payment, users scan a merchant’s Zapper or "Scan to Pay" QR code and complete the transaction by selecting assets from a Luno crypto wallet with a sufficient balance. As the entire process bypasses traditional bank card numbers, CVV codes, and bank card accounts, it does not qualify as a crypto payment card in the strict sense.
