Users can select local fiat currency or supported crypto assets in Ripio Wallet as the payment source, with automatic conversion into the local settlement currency when a purchase occurs. Card overview
Ripio Card consists of separate local issuance programmes in Argentina and Brazil. Both use the Visa network and offer virtual and physical cards, but their payment partners, foreign exchange fees, ATM rules, and spending limits differ. Argentine users can pay with ARS or crypto assets held in Ripio. When crypto assets are used, Ripio automatically sells the required amount to obtain ARS. The Brazilian version uses a prepaid BRL account, which can be funded by converting supported crypto assets. Digipayments currently participates in account services for the Argentine card, while Dock is responsible for the payment account and card issuance in Brazil. Both products are positioned as prepaid cards, do not provide conventional credit limits, and support international Visa merchants.
