Tangem Pay

Tangem Pay is a self-custodial stablecoin payment account embedded in the Tangem app and offered to eligible users by Paera LLC. Users transfer USDC on the Polygon network into a personally controlled smart contract account, after which they can spend online with a virtual Visa card or make in-store payments by linking it to Apple Pay or Google Pay. Merchants receive standard fiat currency. The card deducts funds only from the separate Tangem Pay balance and does not directly access the user's primary Tangem Wallet assets.

Core features
Card-shaped hardware wallet: Tangem uses a credit-card-sized NFC card as the hardware medium, requiring no cables, batteries, or Bluetooth connection.
Self-custody of private keys: Private keys are generated and stored inside the card's EAL6+ secure chip and never leave the card, ensuring physical isolation of assets.
Optional seed phrase: The traditional Tangem mode is "no seed phrase" design, using multiple cards for backup to manage access. Updated models also support importing or generating 12/24-word seed phrases, balancing traditional and innovative backup methods.
Extreme durability and security: The card has an IP69K rating (waterproof, dustproof, resistant to extreme temperatures) and can withstand X-rays and electromagnetic pulses.
No KYC and privacy: Tangem itself does not provide financial services, only acting as a storage tool, so no registration or personal identification (KYC) is required, fully protecting user privacy.

Card overview
Tangem Pay and Tangem Wallet are separate products within the same app. Tangem Wallet is used for self-custody of crypto assets and does not require KYC, while Tangem Pay is a regulated payment account that requires identity verification. After selecting a Tangem Wallet, users create a Tangem Pay smart contract account and transfer native USDC on the Polygon network into it. When a purchase is made, the equivalent amount of USDC is debited from the smart contract balance, and Visa settles with the merchant in USD or local fiat currency. The Basic virtual Visa Platinum card is currently the only formally available product, and each user may activate up to three cards. Physical cards, Plus, Prestige, cashback, and welcome rewards remain on a waitlist or are planned for later release. ATM withdrawals are not yet available.

View original Perfect for the beginner.
I’m new to crypto, and wanted a easy to use cold wallet. So far the Tangem has been just that! Easy to set up and easy to transfer from hot to cold. Only problem has been selecting the right blockchain, when transferring from hot to cold. Some coins have multiple blockchains, some don’t. Still trying to figure that one out. Other than that I love it. Already recommend the Tangem to multiple people.
