CoinSpot Mastercard is a digital crypto prepaid card offered by CoinSpot to Australian residents. Users can set Australian dollars or up to five assets in their CoinSpot account as payment sources. When crypto assets are spent, the system automatically sells the selected asset and converts it into Australian dollars for settlement at the time of the transaction. The card can be used for online shopping and contactless payments through Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay. A physical card and ATM withdrawals are not currently available.

Card overview
CoinSpot Mastercard connects directly to the user's CoinSpot account, so assets do not need to be transferred to a separate card balance in advance. Users can arrange up to five crypto assets in deduction order or select Australian dollars as the payment source. At the time of payment, the system checks the preferred asset and then each subsequent asset if the balance is insufficient. A single asset must fully cover the entire transaction; multiple insufficient balances cannot be combined. The crypto asset is converted into Australian dollars at CoinSpot's sell price when the transaction occurs, and EML completes settlement through the Mastercard network. The current product is available only as a smartphone digital card. Users can enter the card number directly for online purchases, while in-person purchases require a compatible mobile wallet. Merchant refunds are returned to the CoinSpot account in Australian dollars. Current card terms prohibit pre-authorised recurring payments and recurring charges, so the card is not suitable as an ongoing payment method for subscription services.
