The SafePal Mastercard is a virtual Mastercard debit card offered by SafePal in partnership with Swiss fintech Fiat24, linked to the user's personal Swiss IBAN multi-currency account. Users can transfer USDC or bank funds into their Fiat24 account via the SafePal App, then spend the account balance with Mastercard, and can also add the card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and PayPal. The SafePal non-custodial wallet and the Fiat24 custodial fiat account operate independently of each other.

Card overview

SafePal provides a Fiat Gateway entry point within its app. Regulated account opening, KYC, Swiss IBAN, fiat balance, and Mastercard services are handled by Fiat24. Fiat24 uses account credential NFTs on the Arbitrum chain, with EUR24, USD24, CHF24, and CNH24 corresponding to account fiat balances. The card is currently a virtual Mastercard Debit; physical cards are not issued, and no traditional PIN is set. Users can deposit Arbitrum USDC directly, or first convert other digital assets to USDC via SafePal Swap before topping up, then spend using multi-currency balances. Current daily spending limit for ordinary issued cards is USD 10,000, with a monthly limit of USD 20,000. As of 28 July 2026, SafePal continues to maintain the product and existing card services, but Fiat24 is currently in maintenance mode and has explicitly suspended acceptance of new applications.
