Card overview

This card is a card feature within the Simple self-custody wallet ecosystem. Simple is primarily responsible for the wallet and app interface, while the underlying crypto card program is provided and managed by Wirex and its affiliated entities. Users can fund the card using supported crypto assets selected from Simple’s Custody Wallet or Self-custody Wallet. After conversion, these assets become a balance available for card payments, and the card balance can also be withdrawn back to the wallet in crypto form. It therefore does not use the entire wallet balance directly as a conventional bank card account, but instead creates a conversion and funding channel between the self-custody wallet and a separate card spending balance. The application process currently published by the company is focused on the virtual card, while the physical card remains planned for a later launch.
