The Solflare Card is a self-custodial USDC debit card offered by Solflare to Solana users. Rather than pre-funding a custodial card account, users authorize the card to deduct USDC directly from a designated Solflare Wallet and convert it through the Mastercard network into the fiat currency received by the merchant. After identity verification, users can instantly generate a virtual card for online shopping, contactless purchases through Google Pay, and eligible ATM withdrawals.

Card overview

Solflare Card connects a self-custody wallet to a traditional bank card payment network. Applicants complete KYC through the Solflare mobile app and designate a wallet holding USDC on the Solana network as the source of spending funds. Assets remain in the user-controlled wallet until a payment is made. Only after the transaction is authorized does the system debit the corresponding USDC from the delegated wallet and settle the card transaction in USD. The card currently supports only USDC and does not directly debit SOL, USDT, or other tokens. Once approved, the virtual card becomes active immediately and can be used for online payments by entering its card details or added to Google Pay for in-store use.
