Stables Card was a Mastercard stablecoin prepaid card offered by Stables Money to individual users. It was initially launched in Australia and allowed users to spend stablecoin balances from their Stables wallet on everyday purchases. At the time of purchase, stablecoins were converted into the fiat currency required by the card network, with merchant settlement completed through Mastercard. The virtual card supported online shopping and mobile payments through Apple Pay and Google Pay. This consumer card product has now ceased operations.

Card overview
Stables, formerly Tiiik, was initially positioned as a consumer stablecoin wallet, supporting stablecoin holding, buying and selling, transfers, and bank card spending through a unified balance. In 2023, Stables partnered with Mastercard and Circle to launch a virtual prepaid card in Australia, then expanded to Europe and additional international markets in 2024. The card uses stablecoins such as USDC as its primary funding source, allowing users to spend at Mastercard merchants without first manually withdrawing funds to a bank. By 2026, Stables had shifted its business focus from consumer wallets and bank cards to enterprise-level USDt payment APIs, virtual accounts, KYC/KYB, and cross-border money movement services. The original Stables Card was formally discontinued on March 25, 2026.

That's the end of the story for this app. Apparently, the Indians bought it, or they've become effective managers (see the global description in Hindi). First they killed the bank card feature, and now the app itself. It's a shame, of course, that it ends this way. Bye for now, Stables? Goodbye.. 👋
