Card overview

Wirex Card is used with a Wirex One account. After completing identity verification, users can obtain a payment account and locally eligible personal account details and hold fiat currency, stablecoins, and other digital assets in the account. Before a card transaction is completed, Wirex converts the user's selected digital asset into fiat currency and then settles with the merchant through the relevant Visa or Mastercard issuing service provider. Merchants therefore do not need to accept cryptocurrency directly. Wirex One uses a tiered membership structure comprising Base, Premium, Elite, Private, and Bespoke. Tiers are determined mainly by the account's asset balance and the proportion held in WPAY and correspond to virtual cards, plastic physical cards, or metal cards. Physical cards support chip, PIN, contactless payments, and ATM withdrawals, while virtual cards are intended for online shopping and mobile wallet payments. Legacy accounts in regions including the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, Australia, and New Zealand must migrate to Wirex One to continue using current services.

Verified account closed — $300 inaccessible for over 2 years

I completed the identity verification process and deposited approximately $300 worth of TRX into my Wirex account. My account was later closed/restricted, and since then I have been unable to access my account or withdraw my funds. This situation has now continued for more than two years. I contacted support seeking an explanation and, most importantly, a way to recover or withdraw my money, but I still have no satisfactory resolution. I simply want access to my funds or for Wirex to return them to me. More than two years without a proper solution is unacceptable. I will update this review if Wirex resolves the issue and returns my funds.

Hi! Wirex is a regulated banking institution, so we have to monitor accounts for safety. If an account breaks the rules, it may be closed. In such cases, we send an email. The remaining balance, if there's any, is refunded per procedure.

Me han vuelto a robar

El pasado día 30 de junio hice un envio de xrp entre mis cuentas desde bitget a wirex. El caso es que no incluí el ''destination tag'' que es para identificar el destinatario final dentro de la cuenta global de wirex en este caso. El caso es que esto pasa muy a menudo porque solo lo solicitan unas pocas criptomonedas y requiere atención personal para introducir manualmente el destination tag o para tirar para atrás el envio ya que sin el destination tag estas criptomonedas quedan en la cuenta global de la compañía, a la espera de que las envíen manualmente a su destinatario final, si no lo hacen, las criptomonedas se las queda el exchange (wirex en este caso). He contactado por activa y por pasiva y solo he recibido contestación después de mas de 15 dias esperando y a sido despues de mi reseña en trustpilot. Me han solicitado el email asociado a mi cuenta para proceder con la operación. Les conteste al instante y aún no han dado señales de vida.., de esto hace ya 15 días. Ademas han dado mi ticket 6362917 por resuelto sin haberme contestado siquiera ni haber solucionado nada.
