Over the past 90 days, three major developments have emerged in the crypto payment card market.
Bitget launched a Visa card issued by DCS Card Centre in selected Asia-Pacific markets; Gnosis Pay expanded eligibility to several Latin American countries; and Cypher entered its shutdown phase, with card spending scheduled to end on August 7, 2026 and the platform to close on September 6.
Fee structures continue to diverge. Gnosis Pay still charges no card issuance fee or purchase transaction fee; RedotPay charges $10 for a virtual card and $100 for a physical card; and Crypto.com’s U.S. credit card has no annual fee, although higher-tier benefits are tied to subscription fees or CRO lockups.
The situation across the four Chinese markets is now clearer: there is currently no mainstream crypto payment card that can be recommended for residents of mainland China. For eligible residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, the RedotPay virtual card is the preferred option. Bybit, Gnosis Pay, Coinbase Card, and the Crypto.com U.S. credit card are not included in the recommended list for these four markets.

Verifiable statements in this article concerning crypto payment card fees, regional availability, KYC and mobile-wallet compatibility are based on the cited official or regulatory materials. Actual service status, pricing, eligibility and geographic availability should be confirmed on the issuer’s or platform’s page at the time of application.
Results may vary depending on the issuer, jurisdiction, account tier and merchant rules. Any discussion of user experience, approval rates, fee comparisons or market trends that is not directly disclosed in the primary sources above should be treated as analysis or inference rather than an officially confirmed conclusion for an individual case.
1. Key Findings
Bitget Card entered the Asia-Pacific market. On April 2, 2026, Bitget announced the launch of a virtual Visa card in selected APAC markets, issued by DCS Card Centre. Physical cards are not yet broadly available.
Gnosis Pay expanded its Latin American coverage. Residents of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico are currently supported, while markets including the United States, Canada, Japan, the Philippines and Thailand remain unavailable.
Bybit Card now operates a region-specific card issuance structure. Depending on the market, cards may use Visa or Mastercard and may be structured as prepaid or credit products. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay support also varies by regional program.
RedotPay tightened its service restrictions for mainland China. Mainland China is now subject to registration and KYC restrictions, geographic access restrictions, card issuance restrictions and physical-card delivery restrictions.
Cypher Card is shutting down. Card top-ups have already been disabled, spending will stop on August 7, 2026, and the consumer app, business platform and withdrawal window will close on September 6.
Major products have not relaxed KYC standards. Identity, residential address, tax information and source of funds remain core review requirements. Connecting a self-custody wallet does not mean KYC is waived.
“Zero fees” does not mean zero total cost. Foreign-exchange conversion, crypto trading spreads, ATM operator fees, membership subscriptions and token lockups remain major additional costs.
Eligibility across mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan has become increasingly differentiated. No product is currently recommended for mainland China, while the RedotPay virtual card is the preferred option for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

|---|---|

Coinbase Card
Coinbase Card does not charge a separate card transaction fee when spending fiat currency, USDC or supported crypto assets. Coinbase does not charge an ATM withdrawal fee, although the ATM operator may impose one separately.
When BTC, ETH or other crypto assets are used for spending, the assets are converted into fiat currency and the transaction price may include a Coinbase trading spread.
Bitget Card
The Bitget APAC card terms confirm that cross-currency transactions incur foreign-exchange charges. The authorization amount, final settlement amount and refund amount may differ because of exchange-rate movements.
Bitget has not yet published a single standardized FX rate, ATM fee or replacement-card fee applicable to all APAC card users.

4. Regional Changes
Bitget Card: Entering Selected APAC Markets
Bitget Card launched on April 2, 2026, initially as a virtual Visa card. The product is issued by DCS Card Centre and uses assets held in the user’s Bitget account for transaction settlement.
This report does not include mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan among Bitget Card’s recommended markets. Official launch materials do not provide a sufficiently complete APAC eligibility list to confirm application eligibility in those four markets.
Gnosis Pay: Expansion into Latin America
Gnosis Pay currently supports residents of the following Latin American markets:
Argentina
Bolivia
Brazil
Colombia
Mexico
In Europe, the service covers most EU member states as well as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
The United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, the UAE and South Africa remain in the not-yet-launched category.
Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are not currently on the eligible application list.
Bybit Card: Further Regional Segmentation
Bybit Card currently includes at least the following regional programs:
Regional Program | Card Network and Product Type |
|---|---|
Argentina | Mastercard prepaid card |
AIFC | Mastercard prepaid card |
Georgia | Mastercard prepaid card |
Kazakhstan | Mastercard prepaid card |
Australia | Mastercard credit card |
Mexico | Mastercard credit card |
Brazil | Visa prepaid card |
Peru | Visa prepaid card |
Asia-Pacific | Visa credit card |
Bybit lists mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United States, Canada and several other markets as restricted service regions.
Macao and Taiwan are not listed in Bybit’s platform-wide restricted-region list, but Bybit has not published corresponding card programs for residents of either market. This report therefore does not include Bybit Card in the recommended list for Macao or Taiwan.

2026-09-06 | Consumer app, business platform and withdrawal window close |

6. KYC Changes
Bitget Card
Applicants for the Bitget APAC card must:
Be at least 18 years old;
Reside in a supported country or region;
Hold a Bitget account;
Complete KYC;
Accept the issuer’s and card network’s terms.
Gnosis Pay
Gnosis Pay requires applicants to complete identity verification and hold lawful residency in a supported jurisdiction. The product connects to a Safe smart account, but full KYC still applies to the card application.
Bybit Card
Eligibility for Bybit Card is tied to identity verification on the Bybit account. European users migrating to Bybit EU must use a separate account and complete identity verification again.
Physical cards in Asia-Pacific and Australia may also require residential-address verification. The APAC physical card may impose additional account-tier requirements.
RedotPay
RedotPay reviews:
Nationality;
Identity documents;
Actual place of residence;
Billing address;
Service access location;
Card issuance region.
Citizens of mainland China cannot complete RedotPay KYC. Mainland China addresses also cannot be used to apply for either virtual or physical cards.
Coinbase U.S. Card
Applicants for the Coinbase U.S. card must:
Reside in the United States, excluding Hawaii;
Complete identity verification for their Coinbase account;
Verify a U.S. residential address;
Provide an SSN;
In certain cases, provide a W-2 or other identifying documents.

8. Risk Changes
Cypher: High Risk
Cypher has entered a formal shutdown process. The risk is no longer ordinary operational volatility but a confirmed termination of service. Existing users need to withdraw remaining balances and export statements before September 6, 2026.
Bybit: Regional Migration Risk
Different Bybit regional programs are issued by different institutions and use different card networks and product structures. European account migration, mobile-wallet differences and regional restrictions are the main risks.
Bitget: Limited Fee Transparency
The Bitget APAC card is already live, but its public terms still do not provide a unified, comprehensive fee schedule. FX fees, ATM fees, replacement-card fees and physical-card costs require continued monitoring.
RedotPay: Tighter Regional Policies
RedotPay repeatedly updated its KYC, access, issuance and delivery restrictions during 2026. Mainland China has moved from a physical-card delivery restriction to broader restrictions covering registration, access and card issuance.
Coinbase: Conversion Spread
The Coinbase Card charges a 0 card transaction fee, but spending crypto assets requires conversion, and the resulting spread represents a real cost.
Crypto.com: Cost of Benefits
The Crypto.com U.S. credit card has a $0 annual fee, but higher cashback tiers are tied to paid membership or CRO lockups. The actual cost therefore depends on subscription charges, lockup periods and movements in the CRO price.
9. Card Selection Recommendations
Residents of Mainland China
No product is currently recommended.
Within the scope of this review, no product simultaneously satisfies all of the following conditions:
Accepts genuine mainland China identity information;
Accepts a mainland China residential address;
Allows KYC to be completed from mainland China;
Clearly permits applications for a virtual or physical card.
Chinese citizens who legally reside overseas may select a product based on their actual place of residence:
Europe and selected Latin American markets: Gnosis Pay;
United States: Coinbase Card or the Crypto.com U.S. credit card;
Bybit-supported markets: the corresponding regional Bybit Card program.
Hong Kong Residents
Preferred option: RedotPay virtual card.
Key conditions:
$10 virtual-card issuance fee;
$0 annual fee;
USD settlement;
Supports online payments, subscriptions, Apple Pay and Google Pay;
Hong Kong is not included in RedotPay’s current KYC, issuance, access or delivery restrictions.
The physical card costs $100 and is more suitable for users who need in-store POS purchases and ATM withdrawals.
Macao Residents
RedotPay virtual card.
The virtual card is suited to online shopping and subscription payments and has a lower upfront cost than the physical card. Macao is not included in RedotPay’s current KYC, service-access or card-issuance restrictions.
The physical card is not the preferred option; applicants should confirm delivery eligibility for their specific address before applying.
Taiwan Residents
RedotPay virtual card.
Taiwan is not included in RedotPay’s current KYC, access, issuance or physical-card delivery restrictions. The virtual card supports online purchases and mobile wallets, while the physical card can be used for POS transactions and ATM withdrawals.
Bybit Card is not included in this report’s recommendation list for users in Taiwan.
International Travelers
Where regional eligibility requirements are met:
Prioritize the fee transparency of Gnosis Pay;
Compare RedotPay if a virtual card and mobile-wallet support are important;
When using Bybit Card, verify Apple Pay, Google Pay and FX fees for the specific issuing region;
Do not choose Cypher Card.
Frequent Foreign-Currency Spenders
Prioritize:
FX fees and settlement exchange rates;
Crypto conversion spreads;
Free ATM withdrawal allowance;
Annual and membership fees;
Cashback rate.
Among the products reviewed, Gnosis Pay has the clearest fee structure. Bitget Card’s APAC program has not yet published a standardized FX fee, so it is not the preferred choice for frequent foreign-currency spending.
Apple Pay and Google Pay Users
Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan: RedotPay is the preferred option;
Supported European and Latin American markets: Gnosis Pay is an option;
Bybit users: choose according to the specific issuing region;
Coinbase EU and UK cards: not suitable for mobile-wallet users;
Cypher: discontinue use.
Business Users
The Cypher business-card platform is shutting down and should no longer be considered a corporate spending solution.
When evaluating business card products, focus on:
Corporate KYB;
Ultimate beneficial owner identification;
Employee sub-cards;
Spending limits;
Merchant category controls;
Statement exports;
Segregation of funds;
Issuing institution and jurisdiction.
10. Methodology and Limitations
This report primarily relies on product websites, official fee schedules, help centers, cardholder terms, regional-restriction pages and service-termination notices.
Current rules with no clearly stated update date or historical comparison are treated only as the current product status. Products without a clearly disclosed country list, fee figures or card issuance terms are not included in recommendation conclusions.
Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan do not appear on RedotPay’s current restricted-region list and are therefore treated as meeting basic application eligibility. Final approval still depends on identity, residential address and the issuer’s review.
